Position Overview:
Working with Graycon’s account management team, the Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for technical support throughout the sales life cycle. Using their influence and technical knowledge, the Pre-Sales Engineer will guide the client to a technical solution that meets their business objectives.
The successful Candidate will be responsible for the following activities:
• Initial client meetings
• Solution requirements gathering and solution design
• Initial project scoping
• Creation of the initial equipment kit list and high level solution design
• Development of the pre-sales proposal
• Technical response documentation for RFP’s
• Handover of project to professional services teams
The Candidate must demonstrate the following:
• Minimum 2 years experience in a technical pre-sales environment
• Demonstrated ability to position Cisco Solutions in pre-sales engineering capacity
• Cisco Certified Professional (CCNP/CCVP/CCSP) (highly desirable)
• Thorough understanding of Cisco’s Unified Communications solutions (required)
• Good understanding of Cisco’s Routing and Switching solutions (required)
• Understanding of Cisco’s Security solutions (desirable)
• Understanding of Cisco’s Wireless solutions (desirable)
• Understanding of the traditional PABX voice solutions and how they compare with Cisco Unified Communications solutions (desirable)
