Position Overview:
Our newest Grayconian will resolve challenging
business and technical issues and provide expert recommendations
on day-to-day server and desktop software/hardware situations
to clients. The successful candidate will provide on-site,
telephone and remote support for all server and desktop
computing functions for a dynamic group of Graycon clients.
The successful Candidate will be able to:
• Work at high level in a consultative approach
with a wide variety of leading edge clients
• Work hands on to produce accurate and informative
solutions
• Troubleshoot and support Microsoft Windows SBS, 2000
and 2003
• Troubleshoot and support Microsoft Exchange 2000 and
2003
• Troubleshoot and support other software packages such
as Antivirus and Backup, Terminal Services
• Effectively troubleshoot infrastructure issues (eg.
network connectivity, printing, internet)
• Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-energy environment
• Deal effectively with all levels of customers and
team members
• Work under pressure
The Candidate must demonstrate the following:
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar
role
• Knowledge and experience with Windows NT/2000/XP,
Active Directory, Microsoft Office (2000/3), • E-mail
systems (Outlook/Exchange), Internet Browsers (Internet
Explorer), Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention
to detail
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative
environment
• Effective/proven communication skills
• Self-management and strong client focus
Preference will be given to candidates who
demonstrate the following:
• Oil & Gas and/or financial application
background
• Consultancy/Professional services background
• At least one IT certification (i.e. MCP, MCSE, CCNA,
VCP etc.)
• Knowledge of Citrix
