Network Sales Specialist – Cisco Practice

Position Overview:

Our Calgary office is looking for an energetic individual who has a strong understanding and passion for Business Development.  The candidate will possess strong technical skills, coupled with extensive sales experience and business acumen.

The successful Candidate will be able to:

• Develop strong relationships internally and externally (notably with Cisco)
• Utilize a consultative approach to sales with larger clients, with a focus on understanding the   clients' business needs and driving Cisco-based sales
• Become the primary Cisco technical skills owner within the Business Development team
• Lead the technical decision process and help drive the sales cycle
• Assist the Account Executives in qualifying, conceptualizing, positioning and closing all Cisco   solutions

The Candidate must demonstrate the following:

• Relevant University Degree or technical diploma, specializing in electronics and/or   telecommunications
• Minimum of 10 years of Networking (or related) sales experience.
• Very strong knowledge of WAN/LAN and voice networks in the large enterprise
• Extensive experience in data, internet, voice communications and/or related protocols required
• Appropriate Cisco Sales or technical certifications.
• Good routing, switching, security, wireless, and voice skills, ideally including Cisco VoIP, Unified   Communications, and related technologies.
• Strong commercial business understanding, sufficient to demonstrate and create compelling   business cases for products and services
• Detailed knowledge of key client types or clients on given products
• Account plans and long term sales funnel development
• Project management  with a structured work approach
• Consulting, Marketing, Communication and Negotiation Skills
