Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a vibrant individual to join our Security Practice Team as a Security Consultant who will be responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art security technology in a managed security services environment. The candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual who understands security business processes, as well as the various security technologies available.
The successful Candidate will be able to:
• Following our security assessment methodology, perform assessment of our clients information security risks, document findings and make suitable recommendations
• Perform assessment tasks including vulnerability scans, interviews with business sponsors and technical staff
• Speak about a breadth of information technologies from servers, applications, and networking, as well as security technologies
• Plan, design and implement security solutions, including hardware and software; firewalls, VPN’s, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems and anti-virus software
• Comfortably speak about infrastructure, security and business requirements to wide variety of people
• Assist in the development of IT security policies and procedures
The Candidate must demonstrate the following:
• Broad experience with LAN/WAN networking
• Depth of knowledge of IP, TCP/IP and other routing protocols
• Working knowledge of North American privacy and security legislation
• Hold current vendor and security certifications (MCSE, CCNA, CCA, CISSP, CEH, etc)
• Skilled in client delivery and service
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to execute tasks in
a high-energy environment
• A team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to excel in a flexible work schedule
